At the heart of it, I am a writer. My gardening knowledge is tentative at best, though I love stories about people and what forms them. I have features and essays published in many New Zealand magazines, and of course, Sage Journal.
My love of writing began in fiction, which I fit in between feeding the children and cleaning the house. My work has been nominated for the Sargeson Prize 2020, and was shortlisted for the Michael Gifkins Text Prize 2023. I’m currently completing a Master of Arts at Victoria University, Wellington.
What I love about working with Sage is the opportunity to interview and discover inspiring and beautiful people who are passionate about sustaining our land.
