A winter garden gathering | Celebrating 5 years of Sage Journal with Kath Irvine

A winter gathering of gardeners and plant people — celebrating five years of Sage Journal with Kath Irvine.

Last weekend, we hosted a Winter Garden Talk with Kath Irvine — a sold out celebration to mark five years of Sage Journal.

Over 140 gardeners gathered at Keirunga Gardens in Havelock North to connect, browse our favourite local plant and book stalls, and soak up Kath’s wisdom on gardening and soil health. It was a joy to see such a big group of gardeners come together.

Kath’s key messages were to plant more plants, trust your observations and focus on feeding the biology in our soil. We left feeling inspired to try more green crops and living mulches, to leave roots in the ground as much as possible, and to stop overfeeding our soil.

A huge thank you to everyone who came, supported the stalls, and preordered our first-ever print journal, which ships in early September. [Preorders for everyone else opening 1 August!]

And to our friends at Picky and BioRich — thank you for making the day possible.
