Our Philosophy
Sage started from a passion for green spaces and an interest in how a garden can be an extension of the home. A love of outdoor “rooms” and extra spaces to dwell, gather, play and create — gardens as a work of art, and a means for creativity.
We write to foster a reweaving of the planet and its people. Including stories on a range of themes: art and science; people; eating and making; exploring, living and growing.

Sage Journal is a new annual print publication that celebrates the art of gardening — created with New Zealand and Australian gardeners in mind. Designed as a companion for the garden curious, nature inspired and creatively inclined, each volume explores the intersection of people, plants and place.
Vol. 1 is the inaugural edition: a 190+ page collection of thoughtful storytelling, photography and garden inspiration, made to be collected and revisited for years to come.
